I bought a used 30' (9000lbs) boat. There is a Super Hooker #22 Anchor included. As per Hooker Specs (Web Site) this anchor is for a 35' to 38' size Boat. It is a Danfort Style Anchor.
I am thinking about replacing it with a Fortress Anchor FX-11 that seems to be more suitable for my size boat.
1- I want to know if anyone has some experience with Hooker Anchors?
2- Does #22 Hooker Anchor to big for my boat?

Thank You for your opinions.

Re: Super Hooker Anchor

If the current anchor holds keep it. Buy the second anchor for parking at the beach/on water boat hangout. Using two anchors prevents the boat from swinging around and hitting all the other boats.

Can you share some more information on why you are considering a new anchor?

you really can't have to big an anchor. unless there is not enough room to store it. if you were ever in a situation with a dead boat and being blown on to rocks you will be happy you have it.
