I have a 1978 Mercury 402 wich has a broken tilt bracket. I understand that the bracket is not to be relyed on for towing. The problem is that I do not know how best to tilt the engine back to allow be to tow. At present I am using a rubber keel roller ove rthe tilt pin. The engine is then tied back to the trailer to restrict the movement. This doesnt seem good practice and I wanted to now if there is anything else on the market that will allow me to do this. I have heard of h brackets but cannot find any product online?

Thanks

You might also want to look at the Lock-n-Haul. It will completely eliminate all movement of your motor and since it is not tied in to the trailer, you will not get road shock transfered to your motor. It is adjustable and will fit 90% of all outboard brands, sizes and models. You can get info. on their website.
