This past thrusday was the day I went under the knife for the first time ever for me. Finally after 6 months of knee pain, it is fixed or at least I hope so :D.

My wife went to work today, so I was able to sneak into the computer room to check in an let you know how it went. So far everything is okay. I get the dressing changed this evening. Hopefully it is not infected or anything that can set me back.

I've been using crutches to get around on. Now my upper body is sore from unused muscles I didn't know I had :D.

I'm not the kind of person to sit around, I've got to be up and moving. These last few days I know is just a beginning of the 2 week recovery time ahead for me. I guess this is what they call stir crazy or cabin fever.

My boss is glad it is over with, but is missing my duties at work already. Just maybe this will give the company an idea of what it was like for them before I got on board with them.

Hope you have a speedy recovery. Don't push it to hard to early or you will damage something and the recovery will be even longer.

my neighbor across the street had one done years ago, the other last year at 81 y/o. he walks the dog 3 times a day. you would never know he is now 82, or had knees replaced.

Take care of yourself and follow their instructions. Many surgeries are unsuccessful because people don't follow the recovery correctly. Glad to hear your getting help finally too.

So far everything is going good. I'm staying with the routine the doc has set for me. The only problem I'm having is keeping my dog off his favorite leg. It sure is rough trying to keep a 180# dog off yer leg :D After my pooch saw the bandage/dressing on my leg though, he has left me alone. He now lays by me whining ever so often. He is a pretty smart dog, he will get my crutches for me if they are out of reach. Now if I could just get him to get my coffee for me when nobody is around:D He will retrieve the TV remote for me, but his slobbers on it sorta keeps it from working right.

I had knee surgery. Do the therapy and take it easy. As far as the dog.why not put the tv remote in a zip lock bag and harness up a thermos bottle on the doggie with coffee. 180 lbs geez

That doggie loves his Daddy, not a bad thing atall! I didn't even remember, or realize, you needed surgery, Good Luck with the recovery, and as others have said, don't overdo!
