Surging bad

Motor surges really bad?
I see lots of bubbles in the clear gas filter on the fuel line? That must mean it is losing vacuum and suction right?
If I pump the bulb it runs ,but must keep pumping it to keep it running? I think there could be an air leak in the line, would that cause the surge?
Thanks for any help .

Re: Surging bad

Even damaged o rings on the fuel line connectors can cause such surging so start with the easy stuff first. Try another known good fuel line, then move on to the more complicated stuff.

Still surging ? I redid all the hose connections. And I rebuilt, then replaced the fuel pump. It is a little better but still surging at higher speeds?. Maybe it's time to rebuild the carbs?
Any other ideas?
Thanks

Usually if pumping the primer bulb makes it run properly, you have a fuel pump problem. If you're sure the fuel pump is good, try removing the high speed orifices and make sure they are clean.

I had a similar problem on a rebuilt fuel pump, I replaced the fuel pump with a brand new one and problem solved.

Re: Surging bad

Have two new fuel tanks. I just installed a new fuel pump? Found a fuel line that looks a little worse for wear. Maybe under load it is sucking air? I will replace it and the plugs and go from there. A buddy mentioned the coil?
Thanks
