hello threads I just purchased a v step with a 150 suzuki year 2000 with about 60 hours on it. there is a rich-lean adjustment in the middle of the oil container on the powerhead, my question is is this for adjusting the oil volume or the gas volume as i find the idle very rough and eratic and the plugs appear to be oily i would appreciate any info thank-you!

its idle air fuel, suzuki uses a backwards direction from the rest of the world but is nice enough to label it.

If this engine is carbureted and not EFI, you'll have 1 adjustment screw per side per carb, located in the same position on each carb. You'll need an extra-long skinny screwdriver for #3 carb. On the 150, the idle fuel mix screw works the same as US: counterclockwise for richer, clockwise for leaner. I'd look to the depth of the engine in the water as the cause of the roughness; tilting it up somewhat should smooth it out nicely. There is no adjustment for the oil pump.
