I have been considering buying one of the new suzuki 250s, but have heard they may be absorbing water in through the powerhead casting and blowing up. Has anybody heard a similar report?

Re: Suzuki 250 advice

I haven't heard anything other than good reports. The only thing that scares the daylights out of me is the cost of repairs down the road on any of the big 4 strokers. I was reading somewhere that you are talking 40-50 hours to replaced heads or rebuild. At 65-75 bucks @ hour, that is a lot of money.<br />I am patiently waiting and hoping my 89 Merc 200 keeps running until E-Tec gets the 225 out and some history to see how good they are.
