My 1987 Suzuki 65 motor won't start. It cranks fine. I pulled each plug, plugged it into the respectiveplug wire, held the tip close the engine block while cranking and did not see a spark for any of the 3 plugs.
Any ideas where to start looking - Please be detailed, I am a novice at this.

THANKS!

You have to hold the plug AGAINST the engine block, not close to it !!! The plugs need to be grounded to the block at all times or you really will have no spark.

Did you confirm you had no spark. If so how long ago was it when the engine ran ok? Did the engine quit while running?
Habe you checked the kill switch cap, the red one near your ignition switch. Sometimes they get bumped or not tight onto the kill switch.
I assume you are getting fuel to the plugs?

I just had the same problem with my DT40. It ended up being corision on the wires between the ignition and power pack.
Good Luck
