Hi All,

My engine is currently being repaired in the engine repairer's but when it is done i would like to get a little bit more top speed without the expence of buying a new engine,

Could someone please point out the prop sizes that i can use on this type of engine. i dont know what size is on at the moment.

How do i measure the current prop size?
Is the size stamped on the prop?
What would you advise me to change to?

Thanks

Re: Suzuki 65hp prop

Hi,

This is the Suzuki orginal props (aluminium) that shipped with the DT65 when it was new:

DT65.jpg

Rule of thump: 1 inch change in pitch change RPM about 150-200.

If You have a Suzuki prop then it is marked on the prop what diameter and pitch it has.

You need an electrical wiring diagram for Your DT65, then You will know how to connect a tachometer. For example Clymer Suzuki Outboard Shop Manual 1985-1991 has wiring diagram.
What Year is your DT65?
