suzuki 70 hp value

I have a 70hp suzuki 4 stroke that has bit the bullet. Looks like insurance will cover it. Does any one know how they determine depreciation on outboards?

If I remember correctly the dealers have a "blue book" for outboards just like autos. Call your dealer and ask.

Hi,<br /><br />In my country (Sweden): my boat insurance company use a table like this to estimate a reasonable value of outboards (if stolen) and no market value can be established in other ways:<br /><br />1 year old - 100% compensation<br />2 year - 90%<br />2-3 year - 80%<br />3-4 year - 75%<br />4-5 year - 70%<br />After that 5% per year but minimum is always 20%
