Anyone know of a quick electrical check to make sure those coolant sensors will turn on my warning horn if either head starts to overheat?

thanks

if it is 2 wires pull them off the sensor and touch together
if it is 1 wire pull off sensor and touch the engine block

Don't have engine here in front of me but as I remember it would be impossible to disconnect wire(s) at sensor since wires are connected inside sensor and their leads run to and under CDI unit cover?

Guess the disconnect point must be under CDI unit cover. Does that sound right?
