Suzuki 9.9 impeller?

I have a 9.9 Suzuki(I think it's a 1991). Since I just bought it a year ago and just use it as a kicker, I was wondering if I should replace the impeller(if it has one). Today I ran it in a bucket of water and the head seemed to get hot to touch. Thanks.

If you don't know when the impeller was last replaced, do it. Especially if it's getting hot. It's cheap insurance, and should be done every 2-3 years. (In my opinion) You should also consider replacing the thermostat, since the one in there may be 10+ years old. The parts are cheap, and with a manual it's not too difficult a job.
