suzuki df140 wont start, no warning beep

The other day I took the gas gauge float out to check it, and when I put it back in, the boat was slow starting. After I turned it off, loaded the boat with gear, the boat wont start. I also noticed the beep that was there when I turned the key is no longer there. I checked the plugs, and they are dry.
