Hey guys, I've found this forum to be very helpful in the last few months. So now that I am a new member, I have a question. My 2005 motor is 100 hours short of 1000 hours and it was recomended that I replace the thermostats. I have them but I am not sure what is involved to replace the old ones. Is this easy to do? (scale of 1-5 please). Seems that it is not as easy as changing thermostats on a car for sure!
Please help...any advice would be great....

Pretty simple actually. Just remove the four bolts and it is all exposed. You will need to find the proper torque - maybe Rodbolt will help with that.
Just make sure the mating surfaces are clean before reinstalling. :D

thank you gcboat, but I am not sure which four bolts that you are talking about. After removing the cowling, I search for the thermostats at the back of the engine, but I cannot find them....

Re: Suzuki df200 thermostat

I am sorry - after rereading your post I realized it was a DF and not the DT.
Must be something in the air - I guess. Anyway take a look through here and see if you can't locate your thermostat. If not then give those guys a call - I've always found them to be super friendly. Again, my screw up.
