Hey guys i purchased a Suzuki last year its been nothing but great till it let me down a few weeks ago, the problem is the motor trims up when i motor along, it's totally electrical i had it back to the dealer under warranty they replaced a relay.. Upon inspection tonight i removed the cover for the fly wheel i turned the power isolator switch to off turned the key on and turned the isolator on again there's a strange noise coming from what looks to be maybe a motor or another relay? Im no mechanic.. But the noise is unusual, it's an odd ball problem i guess im just wondering if anyone else has had or heard of this problem which maybe can shed some light on my problem... Thank you in advance.. Damien

If it's under warranty, take it back to the dealer. The factory may not know there's a problem with their product until your dealer submits the claim.

Re: Suzuki DF40A 2010 problem?

yeah cool i have taken it back again and they replaced the motor cowling switch this time, took it for a run seemed fine.. Went fishing last night and got a shark it was getting close to the motor so i asked my mate to trim it up on the foward controls and it would not stop trimming till it was turned off at the iscolator switch such a weird situation,i taped the trim button to down position the turned isco swith to on it wouldnt go down.. Then after a while it went down so i taped switch again and it got us back to the ramp... The dealer i purchased it origionally from will never see my boat again to put it nicely there service was par average and too laid back for my liking, very unprofessional.. They pulled the cotrol box apart and put it back together with linkages not connected (no testing prior to giving me my boat back), my motor was reving over 2000 rpm and i couldnt get it into gear on further inspection they broke clips and a mount on the engine... Not happy, but the new Suzuki Dealer i am now involved with could not wait to get their head around my problem and get me back on the brine..But unfortunately the problem is still evident and it's very frustrating....

Yamatech why cant you turn the ignition to the on position and turn the isco switch on and off ???? It doesnt start till the extra turn of the key is made.. Cheers Damo
