Suzuki DT200 Fuel Pressure Problems

I have a 1993 DT200 I'm having fuel pressure problems with. I'm not sure what to start checking first. There is a water separator inline that I just changed the filter on. There was also an external fuel filter in the line between the separator and the motor which I removed. I pump the bulb to tight and the motor idles fine for 2-3 minutes the craps out. Every time it starts sputtering I pump the bulb to tight and it stays running, but if I don't pump it will die.

Fuel pump? Any ideas or suggestions for me the newbie would be appreciated.
