Hi.
Suzuki DT60 outboard 1993?
I'm having problems with the auto choke not working. Where do the wires from the coil go to. Could it be a problem with the wiring that goes to the controls. As I understand when you put the key in and turn this should get the choke to operate. All linkage is good and moves I can start engine by manually moving choke but I'm getting no movement at all from the coil It does not move the rod.
Thank you
Edit: This has never worked since I bought the boat. Seller not helpful.
Once motor starts I have no issues with it all day. Just getting fed up taking cowl off to start first time

The key is round like a castel key. I just put it in and turn. I don’t think I’m pushing it does not feel like it will go in any further when turning but I will give that a go when I get to the boat.
It’s a Suzuki DT60 oil injection possibly 1993-95 there is no plate anywhere to say what model it is someone has took it off where it should of been before I bought boat seller said it was like that when he bought it.
Thank you very much for your help. I did not know you had to push as turning key.

I believe pushing the key in operates the choke.---Report what you find.

Problem sorted. All this time of taking hood off to manually put choke on and all I had to do was push key in as I turned it while starting. You learn everyday.
Thank you so much for all the help and advice
