Hey all -
I started my suzuki for the first time the other day since I brought it.
Started up and ran fine. Excelt after about 2 minutes of idling the **** tube water got extremely hot - Almost un touchable. So I stopped the engine - Pulled the leg off to inspect the water pump. the waterpump itself was absolutly pristine. And the housing around it also. So if it isnt the waterpump causing the problem - What else could be ?
The pisstube has great flow. Just as stated... too hot.

thanks.

Pulled out the thermostat - Gunked up badly - so replaced it and have re-installed. Now theres no water coming out the tell tale ( Think it is blocked so slowly have been poking some thick nylon up there and trying to clear the blockages... everyno9w and then some different colored water/crap comes out and a few drips of water.... But that is the lease of the problems..... the biggest problem is that water is coming out the top of the leg... which I think might be an exhaust port ? And the water is boiling..... what would be causing this ?

Huge blockage somewhere, obviously the motor was never flushed after saltwater use .... and a suzuki loves to corrode with the slightest bit of salt water .... you will have to start from a side and work all the passages through .....

thanks for your reply - Where on earth would I start and how ? Also can I blow water back through the "exhaust?" port at the top front of the leg ? Would this be a good starting point? thanks.

I would open up the side plate on the block (but you will have to be careful as they love to break off, use heat to remove very slowly) from there i would pressure wash it out ....
