Suzuki "I bought it now what is it??"

I bought what I was told was a 1985 75hp Suzuki.<br />It's a three cylinder with the only visable numbers on the plate being-- 505281<br /><br />Can someone help and/or refer me to a model year site for Suzuki Model Year numbers?

I'd don't exactly remember how to decipher those, but I am relativly certain that of the "505281" number, the first "5" somehow designates the year as being 1985... <br /><br />Whomever told you it is a 1985, is most likely correct...<br /> http://www.marinshopen.se/ click on "Modellguide" (top right corner)..

Thanks Snapper! That gives me a place to start. I knew that there was a Swedish site, but naturally couoldn't remember the URL. Always wanted one of the things so now we'll have to get so it makes noise and pumps water.
