Re: Suzuki Prop Question
Depends on which model of prop it is. If its one of the Raptures that was made for a Suzuki it will slip right on (using the stock Suzuki forward thrust washer/spacer and the rear spacer and washer). There is also an older model made for Suzuki that was 14.5 in diameter that used an easily changed (it was a drop-in) spacer at the rear of the prop. The spacer was simply a donut looking brass plug, about 3" in diameter, maybe a half inch thick, and with the hole in the middle for the prop shaft of course. These props are pretty easy to distinguish from the Raptures in that the Raptures are vented but the other one is not.

I have to tell you something though, once you get past the Suzuki pitch rating system, which is clearly different from that used by the rest of the world by 2 or 3 inches, then the Suzuki props are actually very good performers and have better corrosion resistnace than any after market prop I've run across yet. Also, they are dirt cheap over on E-Bay and you can ususally find the pitch you want within a short period.

Thom

Thom
