Hi Forum . This is my day for questions. I bought a 2000 suzuki 150 2 Stroke a while back. I ve found as time goes on different issues. My question is what is the proper way for installing the thermostats. They can go either way that being ,spring into block or reversed any info would be appreciated Thanks:confused:

Re: suzuki thermostats

all the thermostats I have seen have the sensing element in the block so that it can sense the temperature of the water there, but I have never looked at a stat from a Suzuki

Re: suzuki thermostats

You are the second person to agree with this .It does seem backwards doesn t it? a few years after I bought the boat I changed the thermostats and replaced them the way they originally were With the springs in. I guess they were replaced wrong before I bought the boat Thank You

Re: suzuki thermostats

sometimes its helpful for me,,,,,,,, you can view the microfiche's for all suzuki motors on brownspointmarine.com in NJ. you can also compare part #'s for interchange and shows where things are!
