I have a new Suzuki DF140 with less than 15 hours. I have been taching around 5900-6000 rpms. Yesterday I went out and it wouldn't tach over 5100. I came home and started to investigate to see if this motor has a cable for the throttle and maybe the clamp had slipped. Well, when I started to remove the cover, I found a complete bird nest with eggs. It had my air cut off I guess. Tell me, could this have caused the problem? Also, does this motor have a cable to control the throttle or is it electronic?

Thank You for the reply!

Sure it could have caused the problem, Rod. I think it did.

I don't think the DF140 uses throttle by wire. If I am correct there will be a cable to control the throttle.
