Suzuki years parts compatibility.

I just recently bought a 1983 Suzuki DT40 tiller type motor with only pull start. I have a 1989 Suzuki DT30 (parts engine) with electric start and I was wondering if anyone knows if any of the parts are compatible? The flywheel on the DT40 will have to be changed out since there isn't any teeth. Cosmetically they look like two different animals but i'm hoping the flywheel is the same.

One way to find out is to go to the Brown's Point Marine website and look up the part numbers for the flywheels of each model and, if they are the same, they are interchangeable.

The part numbers don't match. Even a 1983 30hp and 40hp have different part numbers. Thanks
