swap 125 with a 150?

i found a 90ish 150 power head without carbs or starter. and i have a 88 125. can i swap just the power head and use my carbs and starter? if so i would need to change the jets in my carbs right?

I think you need 3 carbs for that motor.There are lots of parts engines around. Figure out why it went bad.Put your starter on it and do a compressio and spark test.You might just have an extra anchor.J

First, IT MUST HAVE THE COMPLETE IGNITION including the throttle linkage.

Second: It takes three carbs AND, the center carb is jetted differently.

Third: It will not fit under your existing hood.

Fourth: It will bolt right up to your midleg with no modifications.

All in all, unless you have the parts to do the swap, it will run you significant time and money. Better to find a 4 cylinder block

thats what i wanted to know. it has no carbs just the power head and pistons. so i will take a pass on this deal.
