thinking of replacing the lower unit on a 1967 65hp merc with the one from a 1964 65hp merc, if we buy it
l'm assuming that ( we all know how that ends up ) the splines on the shaft are the same but need to be sure before committing to buy,
same bolt pattern on both?
were '67 shafts etc known to rust into the power head etc?
anything else to take into consideration, besides length?
