Swap a 4 cyl 165 with a 6 cyl 165?

Hi I have a 165 merc 4 cyl in a 87' Sebring. This motor has a cracked block and possibly more wrong with it. I've found another motor (165 6 cyl merc) to replace this but I'm wondering if this will match up to the Alpha 1 drive. Is this possible?

Change the gear ratio.
Room for the engine?
