Swapping a 260HP 5.0L for a 205 HP 4.3L running the stock AQ-280 Out Drive?

This is in a 24' Bayliner about 5,000 LBS Is this 4.3 going to be a complete dog or will it work out well with the correct wheel?

Don't care about the speed only power at low RPMs and MPGs.

Going from a 5.7 (5.0 does not have 260hp) to a 4.3 won't be near as fast, but it will be a real dog getting on plane, if it does get on plane.
