I have to pull the v6 out for major repairs after all the trial and error's it's done kick the bucket.lol
Thinking about putt my 470 back it witch it in another boat a the moment.
My front mount is still iny boat but I was wondering about the transom mount of a 470 if it woukd mount to a v6 transom bolt pattern without changing out drive assembly?

You can get a 4.3l at any junk yard for cheap. Just change the core plugs and pop it in with your existing externals. Around here they can be had for $150.

I thought about about that but I'd probably have to put a marine cam in it ? Would look for another vortec.
Iam gona pull motor out and apart to see what's the problems, I keep breaking push rods and rocker arms, this last ones where racing style rollers and push rods.
I also have a strange internal rattle that got us scratching our heads.
The 470 I had in another boat will stay.I got it going and was able to use it but had fuel isues from fuel tank to carburetor from sitting up.
It's another boat a guy gave me with the 470, but I had just switched to a v6 in my boat so i gave it to my other brother but he hadn't did much to it sence the last time I had it up and running.
So i won't be switching back temp.
I was wanting to switch temporary because my boat has a wench and boom on it for trawling for shrimp but I just went and pulled rope by had the old fashion way with the 470 boat.lol

A truck cam and a marine cam are so close you don't need to change it.

Pull your heads. If your breaking pushrods, you most likely have rusty valves causing binding
