Swapping motors from one boat to another

Im currently looking at a boat its just the hull and it is rigged for evinrude or johnson controlls. i own a boat already and was wondering if i could take my merc and put it on the other boat. what would i need to do so. what price range am i looking at and what is the difficulty in doing it ?

Everything must be swapped....... controls and all.

bit more info on boat/motor would be required before people could help you more,
ie, is it a pretty flash boat or even a flash, pretty boat
or is it an older boat with a few" battle scars "
same with the motor, big, small, old, new, size, length,

are you good with tools, tape measures, drills etc etc
the cav plate height is just one thing you have to get right,

I'm not overly mechanical and I've had outboards and controls off/on a couple times. You can handle it.
