swapping powerheads

I have a '87 70hp yamaha. I need to know wha year model 70hp will swap out on my base? My powerhead is trash. Thanx

To the best of my knowledge any complete one will interchange. If you are buying the short block only you will have to reseach the particular model to be sure everything will swap out. 85-89 should be no problem.

I'm looking at buy one that was hit by a car. It busted the lower unit and swivel. Thanx
