Swapping props with a solas interchangeable hub

I wanted to swap props this weekend and pulled the one off the motor and could not get the hub out of the prop. I thought that the solas system was made to use the same hub on different props. Is there a trick to get the hub out or do I just need to buy another hub?

Re: Swapping props with a solas interchangeable hub

Once torqued down, the hub will be really tight in there. This is what it's intended to do, to eliminate vibration associated with loose fitting hubs. Supposedly, if you hit it hard enough, it will come out. Use the appropriate size wood dowel and a big hammer. But I personally don't bother.

Since I'm only saving the cost of the hub($22?), I just order another Rubex(that comes with another hub kit). Or, I use the Amita prop(fixed hub), since I've already got the required Solas thrust washer(and other hardware) that came with the Rubex.

Where are you finding the hub for $22 I see it for $37. I will just order another hub. I need to get a spare solenoid for my power trim also when I order the hub.
