Hey, sometimes you just want to cool off. I have a 17' Astro that I'd like to outfit with a swim ladder. Lot's of choices. I'd rather not use a gunwhale type ladder as they tend to move around while boarding and can get ugly when they pinch your hands. The rear of the boat is sloped too much to use a flip down style. At least it appears that way. Before I go custom fabricating something, has anyone outfitted a similar boat with a ladder and what worked?

Thanks in advance for your help!

There was a thread some time ago, started by Snow I think, that discussed swim ladder designs.

Can't find it, but I'm sure someone remembers it. Gave some good advice.

Thanks!
I recall reading that thread and just finished re-reading it. Lot's of good advice as you mentioned. I'm still stuck with the sloping transom and sides so I think I'll have to adapt an existing ladder to fit the boat.

Rastro:

Please post a picture when you figure it out. Several of us Bass Boaters have wondered about this ourselves.
