Hi Guys:

I have a double axle galvanized trailer for a 22ft boat which has surge brakes fitted. In order to fit into the new house garage i may need to install a swing-away tongue. How would I do that with the brake line running down the middle of the tongue? Is there a flexible fitting available? Please let me know what you think.

The factory setups have a flex line that runs from the master cylinder to the hard line in the main tounge.

Yep thats the way mine is too.
Its a rubber brake line from the master all the way to the axle.
Then the split and they too are rubber to both wheel cylinders.
I had to chime in cause I just got done servicing them.
What a dirty project. Once you get them hubs off, its impossible to tinker around in there with them springs and stuff without rubbing your arm, sleeve or hand on that greasy spindle.
At any rate, once that was all done and I bled the lines out. Im good.
They work good.

Hi Guys:

Many thanks for your advice. I guess the answer is to find a flexible fitting between the tongue and the balance of the steel brake line.

My swing-away has a 12 inch section of flex brake line connecting the master cylinder to the steel brake line on the trailer.
