Switch Boxes

Is there a way to test the switch boxes on a 88 merc200hp? And is it possible not to have a kill switch? Thanks for any help.

With a DVA (peak voltage meter) yes you can by testing the input and output voltage at the box, usally both box won't fail at the same time, disconnect the blk/yellow wires from both boxs and ck for spark
