Hey Mates, Will this model fit my 1997 90 Mercury;?

Lock N' Stow Support, MODEL 10108 FITS MERCURY CARBURETED & EFI 75-200 , 135-175 Optimax

My top bolts are 3" center to center bottom is 7 5/8" with 3/8 holes for the T tube pins and I can't find the measurements on these supports anywhere.

Anyone have one to confirm this model will fit my Mercury and what is the measurements between the center of the sockets and the T tube?
Thanks, Ed

Can't give you the info you're looking for, but your motor fits the description. Probably worth a call to the vendor or manufacturer to verify. Or you could just buy one and return it if it doesn't fit.

Well I got it today and it fit just fine. It eases the pressure on the jack and keeps the engine straight no wobble.

Will save your hydraulics.
Will do nothing to keep the transom from being torqued.
Have read numerous complaints on them.

A transom saver that secures the trailer frame, boat, and motor together into a single unit.

Hey fireman, the pins are about 1" long. The unit works for me, keeps the outboard stright when being towed, won't whip around when making unexpected hard turns, and gives the jack rest when being stowed.
I'm in South Texas right now, Fam. thing.
Sorry I can't provide more diminsions for you.

Yeah.. would invest in a transom saver over one of those..

A transom saver that secures the trailer frame, boat, and motor together into a single unit.

That unit is much stronger.. it relives torque from the transom and the hydraulics.. It's really all heresay, if you ask me, but I've always used a transom saver..

there are NUMEROUS threads debating the importance of having some auxiliary supprot for your transom. The two sides are that the trans. saver relieves stress on your transom. the other side is that this stress is put on your transom when running at WOT. I say leave the stress for in the water ;)

It's better to have some 30 dollar contraption helping either your 500 dollar trim or your 1000+ dollar motor...

I just think that the transom saver makes one solid unit and a lot of the shock gets transferred to the trailer. I don';t want to start another debate on this though. Happy boating :)
