Well, first timer taking drive off since I had water milky grease come out of the drive and found water in the U-Joint bellows.

The bellow looked in pretty good shape..but might not have been secured properly. The gimbal bearing looked good rotated freely and was greased well. I'm going to vacuum test the drive for leaks, replace bellows and seals.

1. What is the major cause of water in bellow?
2. Manual say lube splines of drive shaft with Moly lube.. Where to buy? What type?

Any help or technics would be helpful in finding the cause of this problem.

grease would be from the gimbal bearing, gear lube would come from the outdrive.

Usually a bad bellows. The drive seats up against the edge of the bellows to seal.

2. Manual say lube splines of drive shaft with Moly lube.. Where to buy? What type?

I have always used Mercury spline grease. It's designed for splines.
