While doing the annual check of the outdrive I noted that inside the gimbal bellows there is a thin wire spring in the last bellow groove toward the gimbal bearing end. I only realized it was there by it catching my fingers while wiping out the grease! Anyone know why its there or what it's purpose is? I looked on you-tube and saw it other bellows videos so I guess it is supposed to be there!
