Has anybody tried this yet. Not sure where to post this. I watched the video on it and it looks pretty slick. I was hoping to hear some feedback from anyone who is using it.

OHHHHH!!! S-E-L-O-C Why pay $34.95 for 3 yr unlimited access, when I paid $26.95 for the book??

In addition, I still ended up buying a factory manual on Ebay cause SELOC sucks! :p

Re: Syloc Online

The seloc manual for chryslers is better then the factory manual. It comes with wiring diagrams that the factory manual does not have and has better pictorials and is written for the layman instead of the mechanic. I have seloc, clymor and the factory manual and have benefited from each in different ways. The online version gives access to Sierra parts and numbers that are cross referenced to older motors. I am just curious if it is worth it or not. The money is not an issue however I dont want to just throw it away.

Re: Syloc Online

Are we talking Seloc? OP spelled Syloc so many times I was sincerely confused. I did a yahoo search for syloc and came up with shylock...

As for the value of Seloc on line... I agree that for most reference materials a book on the bench is best. However, I appreciate that this was posted - it could be handy. I often look up technical asistance, installation instructions, etc. on the web for stuff I'm tryig to fix or work with that I don't have owner's or shop manual for. For example, I found a Stihl chainsaw shop manual on line. Although it was free, I would have gladly paid for it. I could see that if you're in the middle of a project and don't have access to the book, paying for on-line manual would be worth it. It could save you a significant time driving across town (or more) to a boat shop or library to buy or borrow one. Although I have OEM manuals for both of my outboards, I find the Seloc to be a very handy second reference. Some sections of Seloc are more helpful than OEM. Also they were the first ones I bought because they were readily available locally on the DAY I needed them - OEM have to be ordered.

Re: Syloc Online

I use the Seloc online manual for my Volvo Penta 130 engine and it works pretty sweet. Granted having a manual handy is cool. But I like the search feature built into the online manual. Another cool feature is the ability to print out only the specific sections you need, so if you happen to get oil and grime all over your printed pages you can trash -em and reprint 'em if you need to.

I do wish the stuff could be illustrated a bit better, but hey it's a liquid version of Chiltons.

Later!
