Any one know how to tell if their gummed up on a 1995 four winns fling omc 115 turbo jet. thanks

No crystal ball here....do you have a reason to think so? Is the engine running badly? In what way? If you're asking how to tell by looking, you just remove them from the engine and take them apart...

even then you might not be able to determine visually.

Most obvious (but not the only) symptom is probably, starts fine, runs fine on the muffs, idles through the no-wake zone, but when you throttle up it bogs - won't get up on plane.

Better to list your symptoms - if it is a carb problem, remember that whichever cylinders are starved for fuel are not getting lubrication either - so deal with it now.

ok thanks for the reply i just took the boat out yesterday and at mid-range rpm the engine makes a low popping sound. I have reason to believe it is the carb because the first hour out it did not idle well. One of the carbs also leaks as seen in a previous post. How hard do you think it would be to remove and clean the carbs as well as install a new carb kit on both carbs.

Carb rebuild is indicated by the leak - kit will include the inlet needle valve, valve seat, gaskets, o-rings.

Disassemble, clean, reassemble is pretty basic. take 'em apart, soak 'em in carb cleaner, put 'em back together. Sorry I can't speak to removal & reinstall on your inboard engine - outboards are pretty straightforward.

any case I wouldn't attempt it without a repair manual.
