Re: Syncronizing Carbs

Hey capt Allen,You can do a search on forums for general procedure and check points of carb synchronization, however I highly recommend obtaining service manual on your motor to get the specifics.

Thanks OB, I tried a search and got no results. I am looking around the internet for a service manual, not having much luck there either.

You can get a Factory Manual at the link below. They will get it to you in a couple of days!

Manual

Re: Syncronizing Carbs

generally you would loosen the throttle plates for each bank of carbs, then, holding the bottom throttle plate shut with a pencil eraser, tighten the screw, repeat for the next two carbs, then work the other bank. if its done right, all plates should be shut. when you give it gas, all plates should open at exactly the same time (all 6)
I do recommend you check the manual, as there are variations between models. the ois should be measured with special OMC diagnosis tools
to insure proper timing pickup.
