Synthetic oil sheen on water?

Anyone know if synthetic oil leaves a sheen on water surface like conventional oil does when a drop lands in water??

Of course. It's still made from hydrocarbons that are crude oil for the base process.

synthetic oil is still oil, instead of made from bones of giant long dead reptiles.........it just happens to be made from other petroleum products or from natural gas

it will have the same effect when dumping in water.
