synthetic oil??

I am purchasing a 2003 wellcraft 190 Excalibur this saturday... and I was wondering, if when the break in period is up is it ok to put synthetic oil in it?? I would think it would be better for the engine since they run higher RPMS and if it works well for cars why not an inboard right??? Anybody have an opinion or experience with this??

Search this board for oil discussion and you'll get more than you can stand. I would only put in what the manufacturer recommends (it may surprise you cause it is probably oil rated for heavy truck use, like 15-40) until the warranty expires.
