I've used Castrol's synthetic in my 99 BF130 since it was new and in every other 4 stroke engine I own. Works great! Nothing to deteriorate - no consumables. Change oil & filter annually or every 100 hours. I reccomend it to all!

Re: Synthetic Oil

Its great oil, but it is not a true synthetic!!! Its base stock is what they call a cracked dino oil!
Too expensive though for dino oil!!!

True, check it out!

Hasbeen

Re: Synthetic Oil

Hey Hooty, castrol oil is not castor oil, their is a big difference. Castrol is just a company/trade name, that distributes regular motor oil. But castor oil is an oil made from the castor bean (which is the most deadly poison available), which is used as a cathartic, as well as a lubricant for many uses, such as in glow engines, as the lubricant that is mixed with alcohol, and nitro, for glow engine fuel. :D :D
