I am the person that is being accused of starting the oil controversy. I am sorry and meant nothing by it. I really cant remember what I posted on the other thread. Anyway, I plan to burn what Oil I have then switch over to Amsoil. This could be next year though as it is getting cold in the northwest. I will certainly reply with all of my results. Also I do not think I have a restricted fuel problem as it does not smoke bad in the evenings when the humidity is low. It seams to smoke alot on foggy mornings when the humidity is high. Also I have been running it like a rapped ape and have not yet burned it up. It has also been acting the same way since I got it so I can't see how there could be a fuel problem. What is a good way to check this because I do want to rule that out so I do not burn her up. Another note on this engine. I decarb about 2 to 3 times a season. Seams the ficht oil does not carbon up much as I rarely have alot of carbon come out of it. I do get a little though. I use the OMC engine tuner and follow the instructions. I will repost as soon as I change over my oils.

Re: synthetic vs dyno saga

It is safer to ask a political, racial or religious question than an oil question here, BJ.

Not your fault.
