T & R front mount kit

Anyone ever install one ? I was told that it was the way to go to install my new steering cable ? part # osm-3300

It's a fairly simple substitute when you don't have a motor with a good tilt tube. You just bolt it on under the motor's transom mounting bolts and that gives you a tube for your steering cable.

What motor?

Ezeke....1971 100 hp....front mount kit is at least twice as much as a steering cable support tube and clevis system....thanks for the replies !!! Would the front mount kit provide better steering for the extra coin ? Any advantage at all ?
