I'd like to make my own t-tops as I can't afford to buy them; any ideas where I can get a set of plans ? I could eyeball it, but would prefer some plans if possible !

Don't want to sound dumb but......I thought t-tops were something that came on cars. Never heard of a t-top in a marine application.

That's what they call them around here; they are found on center console boats, instead of a bimini, usually aluminum or stainless steel posts monunted to the console, allows you to walk around boat fishing without the bimini getting in the way
Thanks Troyo, I wasn't real sure what you were talking about. Reckon you might find some plans in the boat forum or have you already tried???

T-Tops and rocket launchers normally have to be custom made for the boats since all are different in one way or another. Most of them iv seen cost around 1500.00

If you want to make them yourself you will have to be creative and have a way to bend the tubing. Some muffler shops might be able to help you with that. Just my thoughts.

Howdy Troyo
If you want to build it out of aluminium you could try “electrical rigid aluminium conduit”. It’s reasonably priced and can be bent with a standard electrical pipe “hickie”. The pipe comes in different sizes and you can probably rent one. Any electrician worth his salt could easily bend up something for you. To get it welded try a prop shop or look in your yellow pages for a local welder and give him a call.

Just my $.02
Good luck
