92 T9.9 is just cold blooded. I have to remove the cover and feather the air inlet with my fingers until the initial start, then works great. I've replace the "choke" device- no luck. Any ideas? Also, the fuel I have tapped off the main fuel filter separator. After trolling 10 minutes, it starves for fuel and I have to repump the bulb. It is a new bulb set up.

hello
a thourough carb cleaning and adjustment is in order. make sure all the vacum hoses for the auto enrichment circuits are intact,if used.
on the seperator issue. most the time if you tap into the second outlet port, it will suck air from the other motor. so the lines must have shut off valves to isolate each engine. but also test your fuel pump to insure its in good shape.

if you have the model with the solid black cylinder atop the carburettor dont use any throttle when starting. you will negate the electric choke. its a common problem i see when people are used to the old pump the gas/open the throttle method. this choke is normally open ie allowing more fuel in until it is warmed by electricity generated under the flywheel.
