Hello everyone

well here goes....
1987 4.3 OMC
18 foot avanti boat

Had the boat out this weekend and the impeller hose on the out drive came loose without me knowing

As I drove, the engine got quite hot and I kinda cooked my exhaust bellows off the manifolds.
So after a short trip to the local marine store I ended up replacing the exhaust bellows, connected the impeller hose and off I go
all is well and working fine except for the tach which started acting up (sticking at 3000)

I then trailered the boat home to do any final repair/cleanup and verify all wiring to see if any had melted.
A new problem showed up ! the tilt will not work at all no noise, clicks or anything ???? It will go down but not up ???

I have looked over the wiring and all seems well but I need to say that water was poured all over the engine ( do not ask why :D nervous buddy thought we were on fire ).......

I will recheck all the grounds and make sure all is well

any other ideas as to why the tach and tilt will not work ???

Thank you
