tach for my 83ish 125 force

hey guys first post here. i recently finished restoring my 78 glastron hpv-170 and it originally came with a johnson outboard with omc gauges, ive searched and the answers ive gotten seem kind of confusing to me on if i can use the omc tach thats in the boat. im very mechanicly inclined but i didnt find a clear cut answer to my issue here. any help would be great.

I think so, just an ignition wire to the positive side of gauge and a signal wire from the rectifier I believe. Maybe some of the more knowledgables will chim in.
