I know this question has been covered here before, but I'm still unclear due to different ignition systems. Can someone please confirm if this is correct?

Attach the ignition terminal from the tach to the "I" terminal on the key switch (blue wire)

Attach the signal wire on the tach to the "M" terminal on the switch (white wire). And black to ground.

Is this correct?

Yes, that is right if you have the battery powered Magna Power CD ignition with a belt driven distributor.
PM me with you Email address and I can send you the OEM manual wiring diagram for the tachometer as a pdf file.

Okay great! Yes, it's the belt driven battery powered Magna CD ignition. I just PM'd you. The diagram and of course your help is much appreciated! I keep a folder of info on my motors, gathered from whenever I read something useful and etc. So it'll find a good home.

Thanks again!
