Hello,

Have a 93 four winns 245, Love my boat runs like a dream has a KC set up :( BUT has been nothing but gluck to me and have had 0 problems... Any how My Tach is jumping u can tap on it and it will jump around more seems to be dieing any chance anyone know were I can get one from? like to get a four winns one that was in it. but cant find a place to get one from ebay is no help craigs list no help. anyone have an idea to find older orginal boat gauges?

Thanks any info would do great. also my speedo does not leave 0 I ordered a new pick up for the transom should be here in 2 days says it only runs on psi so if thats the case would you blow air thru hose to make sure its clean or pour something thru it from the head unit to the transom to clear it out before I put the new pick up on? and how do i tell if its the speedo bad?

These are the only 2 things that acutally have gave me a problem that and my water impeller is 100.00 bucks hahaha

before you buy a new tach, pull the tach out of the dash, look on the back for a small switch........operate the switch back and fourth a few times, just make sure and return it to the original setting ( position ) the switch is for setting how many cylinders 4,6,8.........sometimes it gets a little corroded.

On the speedo most likely the pitot tube the part you ordered had some kind of blockage preventing the water from pressurizing the air in the tubing.

Thanks for the info ill give that a shot with the tach when i get to the boat today, the speedo the guy said the marina blew air and said it seemed like it was jammed with crap and it had a crack on the side of it... the new one was cheap replacement so ill keep in touch with that... before the part comes in though is there any way to see if the speed is working? like since it runs of psi can i hook up a different hose to it and blow in it or anything or will that mess it up?

also i was looking at gauges today, some gauges say sender required not sure what that is.... how do you tell if you have one or not? lol

You can simply blow into the hose........and watch the needle for movement, The gauges that say sender required are the water temp. and oil pressure gauges.......

No luck seems the hose is clogged somewere from the speed to the pick up marina didnt have air chuck I could use to blow in line..... i was gona try to get a can of duster or something and try to blow thru it...
